KTC and NetRange Join Forces

NetRange Smart TV Portal now available on KTC devices

KTC, China’s foremost manufacturer of flat-panel display products, and NetRange, the leading global provider of Smart TV solutions, are joining forces. By integrating the NetRange Smart TV Portal, KTC devices will be giving access to a global content portfolio in over 60 different languages, including live channels, premium VoD and Catch Up TV, music, sport, news, games and many other services. The cooperation will cover both Android and Linux platforms and will be available globally including Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Throughout this cooperation NetRange will not only deliver the Smart TV app portal, but also essential parts of the software such as the NetRange Web Browser for Linux and an Android turnkey app portal launcher. By offering these components, NetRange simplifies the integration effort, significantly reduces cost as well as the time-to-market as a one-stop solution provider for both content and technology.

Jan Wendt, Managing Director of NetRange: “We are impressed by KTC’s approach to the market and honored to support KTC in their product development with more than just an app portal, but with solutions to overcome technical barriers in the Smart TV industry.”

The Shenzhen-based company KTC is currently increasing its scope in the monitor, LCD TV, medical display and commercial display industries thanks to an extraordinarily innovative and competent R&D team enabling KTC to develop and produce their own main board.

KTC: “ NetRange proves once more that they are listening to market demands which are clearly going beyond an app store and are providing solutions that can compete in the market, fast and efficient.”
