OS.CAR can be easily integrated into existing Linux or Android based infotainment system platforms and head units.

NetRange has developed OS.CAR, a software designed to facilitate access to an automotive app store with an extensive selection of movies, games and other apps including car-related web services. NetRange solutions have already proven themselves in millions of Smart TVs from the world’s leading manufacturers. NetRange is now entering the automotive world in the form of OS.CAR, which can be easily integrated into existing Linux or Android based infotainment system platforms and head units. All rights to use the content have been cleared – OEMs and content and service providers do not need to enter into separate agreements with each other. What is more, all data generated, e.g. for Europe, are stored exclusively in Europe or handled in accordance with OEM instructions so that data protection is guaranteed. And, all revenues will be shared with the OEM.
Demonstration of OS.CAR on Android based APTIV hardware
During the CES, NetRange and APTIV will be showing an Android based demonstration which shows the future of connected car app stores including access to a large number of entertainment apps including movies and linear TV and radio channels. The demonstration can be visited upon appointment at the APTIV booth at North Plaza/NP-1. A world premiere is the Cloud Gaming show case with Vortex, which allows access to game console type of games on the head unit itself.
